A PT/INR is regularly scheduled to monitor prothrombin levels for patients taking warfarin, a blood thinner. Warfarin aids in the prevention of blood clots and resulting conditions like deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism. A PT test may also be ordered to: - confirm normal clotting function before a surgical procedure - assess the reasons for abnormal blood clots or excessive bleeding - discover liver problems As a service to our clients, VeniDirect offers both fingerstick and venous blood draw options. Note: Finderstick results are available in a few minutes using the Coag-Sense® PT2 Meter. The normal range for INR is 0.8 to 1.1 however, the therapeutic range for a patient on warfarin is 2.0 to 3.0. This meter reports a PT time that is the actual clot time for accurate, reliable results.
Cancellations made up to 24 hours before a scheduled appointment via email, text, or phone call will be processed without a penalty. Alternatively, you can log into your VeniDirect account to make the necessary changes. Cancellations made 24 hours or less before an appointment will be subject to a charge of either 100% of reserved service or $50, whichever is greater. This includes appointments where our service provider is unable to access the property, is turned away, or the patient is unavailable at the specified time. In the event that VeniDirect cancels an appointment with less than 24 hours' notice, a new appointment will be scheduled for the patient without penalty. Availability permitting. VeniDirect provides irrevocable, non-tangible services, therefore a "convenience fee" is charged when you book. Except as outlined in our Cancellation Policy, the convenience fee is not refundable. Regardless of the circumstances, once a technician has been dispatched to your home or business, you are not eligible to receive a refund or credit.
